More information Please note that the results are based on an estimate of the fuel consumption, which varies considerably with variations in speed, load factor etc. These calculations are made without calculating with contribution from cargoes carried onboard, however we have also made the assumption that the load factor is 100%. So all in all these calculations are an approximation as they always will be unless they are made when all facts are known. We use best endeavours to always be as accurate as possible- however with a clear view not to underestimate the off-set needed for the voyage. This calculator is under development The approximate cost for carbon offset to bring your car as cargo on a ferry is equivalent to the climate impact of 3-4 passengers. Taking this fact into consideration we will soon adjust this calculator and the cost for a passenger’s carbon offset on the ferry will be a bit lower.
